new recordings are progressing nicely. i think 'claws' is done. i got what i hope is the final mix of it tonight, about the 15th version thus far. i don't want to ever have to go near it again. i put the vocals through an autotuner which gives it a very subtle cher-like effect, but in a good way, hopefully. seems to give my mournful monotone a lift, anyhow. so that, hopefully, is that. i don't even know if it's good anymore. it's been going round and round in my head for so long that i'm incapable of having an objective view on it. i never know when to stop. usually it's when i reach the point where my computer isn't capable of processing any additional information, so i have to leave it at that. thank god i don't have a supercomputer... |
